"Our Elders have experienced and survived astounding lifestyles; we can only emagine from their stories what life was like living through eras of invasion, european evolution of 'progress'. We too must be strong - gain strength through their struggle and life experiences; become wise and listen to their wisdom; respect our Elders, each other and mother earth; hold onto where you come from - of who you are."
May we take this opportunity to pay respects and acknowledge those auntys who have fought the struggles for their people over many years, who have given their support to ensuring the needed services were provided for our community and who opened thier homes for others, two strong Aborignal women, the late Aunty Jane Arnold and late Aunty Alice James; Elders Portraits.
