3 KAMPs have been held this year:
In June & September 2008 a combined group of 30 Numberlie Tjadjin (all the sisters) attended 3 adventurous days @ Minjerribah visiting various women's sacred sites; learning how to gather bush tucker and cook; indulged themselves in the sea and sand; some experienced fishing for the very first time; the sisters created some deadly pieces of artworks on canvass and through moulds in the sand; they even put away the 'shame' and learnt traditional dance.
20 Numberlie Kippa ~ the young brothers ~ had their Kamp in September @ Minjerribah; and what a time they had ! Hunting and Gathering; cooking fresh quampies on the BBQ; fishing off the rocks; yarning with the uncles and other brothers of the land; dancing with the waves. The brothers made their own dance belts and collected materials to make their own fire sticks, and boy, didn't they dance strong learning the corroborees of the traditional custodians.
